Regular circulating items can be renewed, as long as the item has not had a Hold placed on it, it has not already been renewed the maximum number of times, and it is within one week of the due date.
Patrons may renew their own books using their My Library Account page. A patron’s books can be self-renewed during the period seven days before the book is due through the due date itself. Except for CSULA full-time faculty, overdue books must be brought to the Circulation Desk to be checked in and then checked out again.
Other information:
CSULA FULL-TIME FACULTY MEMBERS CAN REQUEST RENEWALS ON ITEMS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN RECALLED, OR HAVE NOT ALREADY BEEN RENEWED TWICE BEFORE. Each item on the overdue notice must be initialed, and the word “renew” must be written beside each item. The notice must be brought, or mailed, to Access Services.
CSULA FULL-TIME FACULTY MEMBERS MUST BRING ANY ITEMS THEY WISH TO RENEW THAT HAVE BEEN RENEWED TWICE BEFORE, OR HAVE BEEN BILLED, TO THE CIRCULATION DESK. All Recalled items must be returned. If faculty member wants to renew non-recalled items, check these items in then check them out again to the faculty member.
