In collaboration of the Associated Students, Inc., the University Library is pleased to announce the Fall 2024 S.C.O.R.E. course & stipends for all current faculty at Cal State LA. The S.C.O.R.E. Fund is designed to increase awareness about the Open Educational Resources and make education more affordable for all Cal State LA students. This program will encourage faculty to use zero-cost course materials and open educational resources for their classes. The primary goal of this program is to provide students with greater access to high-quality affordable learning materials. All SCORE participants will be recognized during a campus-wide event hosted by the University Library.
Funding: This program is funded by CSU's Affordable Learning Solutions, the Cal State LA University Library, and the Associated Students, Inc. The University Library provides $750 per instructor/semester. Submissions will be evaluated and approved taking into account the class enrollment size and the availability of funds.

Please note that you can complete all the requirements once you get approval from your college/department. We will notify you once we receive your approval from your department.
To earn S.C.O.R.E. funding, all participants are required to complete the following steps:
1. Completion of the three self-paced S.C.O.R.E. workshops. Please visit the S.C.O.R.E. page to enroll and complete your course orientation tasks. Also, please visit the S.C.O.R.E. page and click on the grades link to view the completion grades for all three modules.
2. You are required to use only zero-cost course materials for your Fall 2024 class. Only courses converting to zero-cost or zero-cost courses taught for the first time in Fall 2024 are eligible. You can use an e-textbook or e-book, or other e-resources available from the University Library.
3. You are required to enable the Canvas Reading List in your Canvas Course page to provide seamless access to electronic course materials.
4. You are required to share the Open Educational Resources (OER) course materials to MERLOT.
Eligibility: All full-time tenured faculty, tenure-track, full time adjunct, and part time adjunct faculty are eligible to apply and upon approval and completion of requirements can receive funds.
Faculty instructors are not eligible if current workload is 125% or will exceed 125% with application to the scholarly communication and open resources eLearning (S.C.O.R.E.)
