The AL$ team is launching a new Departmental Recognition Award. This new initiative will be an expansion of the SCORE program, where individual faculty members will be awarded $950 for converting multiple sections of a class to an OER class. Faculty members are required to work with other instructors teaching the same course to convert several sections of their courses into Open Educational Resources (OER) format. Preferences will be given to classes with the most sections and high enrollments. All SCORE participants will be recognized during a campus-wide event hosted by the University Library. Please note that faculty members can choose to participate in either the SCORE Departmental Award or the SCORE Faculty Stipend program, but not both simultaneously.
Funding: This program is funded by CSU's Affordable Learning Solutions, the Cal State LA University Library, and the Associated Students, Inc. Submissions will be evaluated and approved taking into account the class enrollment size and number of sections transitioned into an OER format.
