Books Way Finding

There are different ways to find books and media items.

OneSearch -- Cal State LA Collection Option

  • Find Books and Media Using OneSearch--Cal State LA Collection option to find books, media and other physical items in Cal State LA Library 

OneSearch -- CSU Collections Option

  • Using this option, you can find books in other CSU Libraries 
  • You can directly borrow books at another CSU library using your Cal State LA student ID, and return it to the campus library 
  • You can also request the book or DVD to be sent over for your use from another CSU using CSU+

WorldCat

  • Access WorldCat from the WorldCat link on the library web home page
  • Using WorldCat to find books and DVDs in other local public and academic libraries.  You can borrow books from any local public library.  You need to apply for a local public library card.  Any California resident can apply for a local public library card. 
  • For Books in other areas, you can request them to be sent over for your use via the library's Interlibrary Loan service.

Google Books

  • Searching Google Books to Find Whether a Book Is Full-Text Online
  • Sometimes, it is the best way for you to find a book immediately
