Access

There are two ways to access: via One-Search and via O'Reilly Online Learning E-books on the Database A-Z list.  When you are on the One-Search result page, you will see an access point to the full-text:

Because of the personalized features with O'Reilly Online Learning E-books, individual accounts need to be established.  Below are the steps you should follow to set up your account:

Step 1 -- Select Your Institution

• At the Welcome page as shown, click Select your institution pull-down menu
• Select "Not Listed? Click here" option (the first option)

Step 2—Sign up for an account

• You will see the following screen when you access Safari Books Online the first time
  
• Enter your MyCalStateLA email address,  and once you click “Let’s Go” button, you should be logged into the platform.

• In a few minutes, you should receive an activation email from O’Reilly, with the subject line “Your O'Reilly Access - Activation Required!”
• Follow the steps in the Activation email to activate your account

Step 3 – Login

• Once you logged out your account, the next time you visit the platform you will be asked to login using your email address and the password you have setup
• Instead of entering your email address to the box, you click the red-colored link “Already a user? Click here”
• You will see the login screen, and you should login using your Cal State LA email address and your password. 
• If you don’t remember your password, you can use the Forgot Password feature to reset your password.
