What is a Zine?

What is a Chicana Counterpublic?

In the book Chicana Power!, we are introduced to the theoretical concept of Chicana counterpublics. Chicana counterpublics were print media that address racism and sexism within the Chicano movement. It provided Chicanas an alternative space to create Chicana political solidarity and documented the political mobilization of Chicanas. An example of this print media are zines.
