Web Development Guidelines

The University Library websites serve as the Library's primary online presence, often representing the first interaction many visitors have with our library. Additionally, it serves as our campus' primary research tool. As such, it's crucial that these sites offer a positive experience that is welcoming, accessible, informative and responsive to the needs of our users comprised of Cal State LA's community, faculty, staff, and students. These guidelines are subject to change.

Scope

The University Library’s Web Development Guidelines cover public-facing sites including:

  • CMS Drupal
  • Third-Party Software: Primo VE, Luna, Leganto, Omeka, ScholarWorks, LibGuides, LibCal, LibWizard, A-Z Lists, etc.

It does not cover:

  • Social media platforms
