In consultation with library faculty and other library stakeholders, the Collection Strategies Committee (CSC) is responsible for the deliberation of library collection policies and guidelines.
CSC serves as an advisory group to work with library faculty and the Collections, Discovery, and Content Management (CDCM) unit in promoting transparent and effective deliberation of collection development with the goal of improving the library collection. Matters considered by the CSC include working with CDCM on the collection policy and guideline development or review, the collection budget recommendation to the Library Resource Allocation Advisory Committee (RAAC), collection budget allocations, the acquisition of and access to all forms of knowledge resources, collection assessment, purchasing/subscription, and deselection procedures, preservation, and communication guidelines related to other collection management related procedures.
