Chat

Use the chat icon Chat Iconlocated on this page to chat with a Cal State LA Librarian Monday through Thursday from 10am - 6pm, Friday 10am - 5pm. After hours, you will be connected with our partner librarians across the globe.


Email or Zoom with Subject Librarians

Librarians who are familiar with specific subject areas are also available! You can use this page to look up the librarian for the class you are in. For example, if you are studying History you would email Kendal Faulkner. Most subject librarians are available to Zoom for further research help.

Resource Purchase Requests

Currently, we are only purchasing electronic resources. If there is an e-book, article, or database that you would like to purchase, email it to your subject librarian. Typically, we do not purchase textbooks as they are often either not available as an e-book for the library to purchase or their price is cost-prohibitive.
