The Project

One Campus, One Book is an initiative designed to encourage a common reading experience at California State University, Los Angeles.

Members of the CSULA academic community are invited to read The Tattooed Soldier, a novel by Héctor Tobar. The book’s many themes are teachable from a variety of disciplines and perspectives. Faculty and staff are encouraged to incorporate study of these themes into the curriculum and campus events throughout the year.

The following web pages were developed by the University Library with contributions from many faculty. This is a growing project that will include a list of themes, resources, and campus activities related to the book. Major activity will be focused in Winter Quarter, 2009. The Tattooed Soldier will be available at the University Bookstore at a 30% discount.

Please encourage faculty, staff and students to read this book and talk about it with others, both on and off campus.
