This guide provides resources for selecting, evaluating, and applying academic resources to support the final research project assignment for WGSS/CLS 4290 with Dra. Espinoza's seminar.

Research Workshop Goals

1. Use library databases to SEARCH for three peer-reviewed research articles.

2. EVALUATE the research articles to determine their relevance to your topic.

  • Use the Triple A of Credibility & Relevance worksheet to show your critical thinking process for selecting the articles to cite in your research proposal. 
  • Next, fill out the Literature Review Sorting Matrix, identifying the argument, methods,  review an article for a lit review and relevance to their research focus

3. Determine how you plan to APPLY the arguments and evidence elaborated in the research articles to support your topic research proposal.
