Our mission is to stop the AIDS epidemic in Black communities by engaging and mobilizing Black institutions and individuals in efforts to confront HIV.

We do this by interpreting public and private sector HIV policies, conducting trainings, offering technical assistance, disseminating information and providing advocacy mobilization from a uniquely and unapologetically Black point of view.

The Gender & Sexuality Resource Center at Cal State LA is dedicated to creating safe and respectful learning spaces, catering specifically to the empowerment of Womyn, Men, and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning/Queer (LGBTQ) community. We pride ourselves in challenging societal norms that have been used historically to oppress and marginalize, while raising awareness on contemporary issues we face.

The Downtown Women’s Center (DWC) is the only organization in Los Angeles focused exclusively on serving and empowering women experiencing homelessness and formerly homeless women.

We envision a Los Angeles with every woman housed and on a path to personal stability. Our mission is to end homelessness for women in greater Los Angeles through housing, wellness, employment, and advocacy.

The East Los Angeles Women’s Center is a leading voice and advocate for survivors and their families affected by sexual, domestic, and intimate partner violence and HIV/AIDS. In 1976 a small group of dedicated Latinas in East Los Angeles established the first-in-the-nation bilingual hotline for Spanish–speaking survivors of sexual assault. Today, ELAWC delivers innovative, comprehensive, culturally-responsive services that build on a foundation of trauma-informed, evidence-based practices designed to heal, support, protect, and empower the communities we serve. Working in collaboration with our partners we also foster the implementation of policies and practices that support social justice and human rights. ELAWC has earned a reputation as a trusted and compassionate resource working to empower and transform lives – and the lives of future generations.

Gender Justice LA is a member-based, grassroots social justice organization for and led by *gender non-conforming, genderfluid, two-spirit, questioning, and trans People of Color in LA County, centering low-income folks. We organize, hold space, provide resources, and collaborate with others so that our communities can: resist oppression, develop community responses to violence, heal from present & historical trauma, and come together in ways that feel brave & affirming.
