LACHSA

The University Library provides services to all members of the LACHSA & Stern MASS campuses, as well as students and teachers at all LAUSD High Schools. Our library is your library!

Students can apply for a borrowing account in-person at the Library North 1st floor Service Desk. They must have their Student ID card present to complete the account creation process and to check out any materials. Application forms are available at the Library North 1st floor Service Desk or can be printed at home. Accounts are valid as long as they are actively enrolled in LACHSA.

To ensure your application is processed and account created successfully, please note the following:

• All Personal Information fields are filled in (leave the Borrower Card Number section blank)
• Select the appropriate Courtesy Membership type (LACHSA)
• A parent or guardian signs the Acceptance of Responsibility
• Leave the Office Use Only section blank

Borrowing

Please bring all materials you wish to borrow to the Library North 1st Floor Service Desk. Your LACSHA Student ID is your library card and must be present to borrow materials. LACHSA students can borrow up to 20 books for 30 days and renew twice (90 days total).

Fines & Fees

• It is your responsibility to notify the Library of any changes to your personal contact information.
• You will be charged a replacement fee plus a $15 billing fee for each item when it is 2 weeks overdue. You may provide an acceptable replacement copy in lieu of the replacement fee.
• If you damage an item you will be charged for repair or replacement.
• Fees can be paid online through Transact. For more information, please review the University payment site. 
• Unreturned items and unpaid fees will prevent you from checking out additional material.
