What is RefWorks?

A web-based bibliography and database manager which allows you to create your own personal database. References can be imported from the library catalog, online databases, text files, websites and more.

Why Use RefWorks?

  • Gather, store, manage, and share references or citations.
  • Generate bibliographies in numerous citation formats such as APA, MILA, Chicago, etc.
  • Store references online and have access to them anywhere using your web browser 

RefWorks APA 7th ed. format

RefWorks has several APA 7th ed. styles listed for formatting the reference list. It is recommended to choose APA 7th - Sentence Casing, DOI: https://doi.org/ from the dropdown list.

Importing References from PubMed

1. Select items you wish to cite within the PubMed database
2. Click on Send To
3. Then select Citation Manager
4. Click on Create File
5. Open RefWorks
6. Click on Add +
7. Then select Import References
8. Select a File or drag and drop the file from PubMed

APA 7th ed.

Choose APA 7th - Sentence Casing, DOI: https://doi.org/ when creating the reference page.
