OSD provides a wide-variety of resources for students with disabilities, including accessible technology, alternative testing, and note-taking services.

Library Sensory Kits

Library Sensory Kit

The library has four sensory kits available to check out at the Service Desk on the first floor of Library North. The kits include various items such as sound-cancelling headphones, tangle toys, infinity cubes, and pop-it stress balls.

Events

Cal State LA's Neurodivergent Acceptance Month (April)
"The Office for Students with Disabilities, in partnership with the Neurodivergent Collective student organization, invite you to celebrate Neurodivergent Acceptance Month (NDAM). Join us for interactive activities, workshops, and events that foster understanding and inclusivity for our neurodivergent community."
National Disability Employement Awareness Month
"Observed each October, National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) celebrates the contributions of America’s workers with disabilities past and present and showcases supportive, inclusive employment policies and practices that benefit employers and employees."
National Deaf History Month
National Deaf History Month began in 1997 as a celebration of the Deaf community and in honor of all D/DB/DD/HH/LD people who led the fight for disability and civil rights in the United States, especially those from minority communities. Since 2022, the National Association of the Deaf has designated April as National Deaf History Month.
