Early Modern Japan: An Interdisciplinary Journal
Early Modern Japan: An Interdisciplinary Journal is a publication of the Early Modern Japan Network (EMJNet), an interdisciplinary, international community of specialists of early modern Japan (ca. late 16th to late 19th century). We are affiliated with the Northeast Asia Council of the Association for Asian Studies. Early Modern Japan publishes scholarly essays, translations, essays on teaching about early modern Japan, academic news, and book reviews. All scholarly submissions are peer-reviewed.
Japan Forum
Japan Forum publishes original research in subject areas ranging from archaeology, language, literature, philosophy and culture to history, economics, politics, international relations and law.
Japan Review
The Japan Review is published in English and offers a broad range of expertise on foreign policy issues connected to East Asia. With the Japan Review, our objective is to outline key areas related to the context and challenges Japan faces on a range of historical and geo-strategic issues. The Japan Review will look at these issues from a global analytical perspective. It will also offer analysis of Japan's evolving foreign policy as it adapts to new geopolitical realities. Japan Review welcomes contributions by both Japanese and foreign experts working on these topics.
Japanese Language and Literature
Description:
Japanese Language and Literature publishes contributions in the areas of Japanese literary studies, Japanese linguistics, and Japanese language and literature pedagogy, as well as articles from other disciplines that help interpret or define the problems of Japanese literary history, literary or linguistic study, or classroom practice. Occasionally, an issue contains several articles on a single topic and is designated a "special issue."

The Journal Of Japanese Business And Company History
Shashi: the Journal of Japanese Business and Company History is a peer-reviewed annual publication on the history of business and manufacturing in Japan. We are especially interested in original research that utilitizes shashi, or methodological examinations of them.
