Oral History Resources

The Lawrence de Graaf Center for Oral and Public History is a teaching, training, research, publication, and public service archive located at CSU Fullerton's Pollak Library. It contains more than 6,000 oral histories covering a wide range of people and topics from California and beyond.

The Oral History Center has conducted over 4,000 interviews on almost every topic imaginable. The vast majority of these interviews have been transcribed and available online.

The Oral History Program was inaugurated in January of 1962 to collect research material by conducting interviews with persons whose life experiences merited preservation.

UCLA’s Center for Oral History Research collects oral history interviews related primarily to the history of Southern California and the Los Angeles metropolitan region.

Groundswell provides support, training, and resources in the practice of grassroots oral history in order to build the creativity and power of social justice movements.

H-Oralhist is a network for scholars and professionals active in studies related to oral history.

Oral History Association (OHA) engages with policy makers, educators, and others to help foster best practices and encourage support for oral history and oral historians.

The Oral History Society of the UK is dedicated to the collection and preservation of oral history, and to making them accessible to everyone.

South West Oral History Association (SOHA) provides an outlet for communication among persons, programs, and institutions using oral testimony; to encourage cooperation among its members; to promote standards among oral historians, to foster an understanding of and use of oral history; to provide guidance to projects; to create educational programs and resources; to aid in securing financial funding for members' projects.
