OneSearch on the Library homepage is your place for finding books, articles, media, open-access resources, and more from Cal State LA, all 23 CSU Libraries, and worldwide. You can access OneSearch from the Library homepage at library.calstatela.edu.
OneSearch features an intuitive and mobile-ready single interface that provides a gateway to a wealth of print, electronic, digital collections, and makes it easy to find, explore, cite, save and share. By default, OneSearch looks for resources available at Cal State LA, including articles, books, and media. You can expand your search by clicking on “Include results beyond Cal State” to find articles we don’t own in the Library, but you can obtain them via our Interlibrary Loan service. OneSearch also includes CSU-wide resource sharing of books and media where you can borrow from across the system.
Specifically, Primo VE enables our users and libraries to benefit from the following:
OneSearch is powered by ExLibris Primo VE, a resource discovery platform. The VE suffix has no meaning. It is used only to differentiate it from the classic or new Primo interface. Primo VE is a new deployment model of Primo that enhances user experience, and simplifies the Primo back-end processes, and further optimizes the management of Primo with Alma, the Library resource management service, by utilizing the Alma platform.
The Library's OneSearch was successfully migrated from Primo Classic to VE on July 27, 2021. Click What's New and Things Remain the Same tabs to learn about what has changed and remains unchanged following the migration.
