Asian American & Pacific Islander American Heritage Month 2025

Explore Narratives by and about Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders

Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have played vital roles in shaping the nation.   They possess a cultural heritage that has been part of the history and culture of the United States. They constitute a diverse component of the Cal State LA community. The University Library owns and provides access to various resources and collections on history, literature, art, and more featuring the AAPI community or written by AAPI authors,  such as books, ebooks, graphic novels, and electronic resources.  To celebrate the rich AAPI histories and cultures during the month of May and all year round, we are highlighting some of these collections.

Join us in reading, reflecting, and recognizing the powerful impact of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.  To browse more books, visit the Asian American and Pacific Islander Featured Collection at the University Library.
