What is Earth Day?

We celebrate Earth Month in April and Earth Day on April 22nd. During Earth Month, we try to raise environmental awareness and increase engagement with environmental protection and climate solutions.

"Earth Day, April 22, is a day on which people around the world participate in events celebrating the planet and advocating for environmental protection. Celebrated since 1970, Earth Day is an occasion for people to participate in events coordinated by the Earth Day Network, which operates in 193 different countries and involves over one billion participants. The network works to draw attention to environmental issues and to provide ways in which individuals can take meaningful action. These include actions on climate change, global teach-ins in which educators teach about environmental issues, and the Great Global Cleanup, in which volunteers around the globe clean up their own small areas." - Earth Day from Environmental Encyclopedia.
