History of Comic Bans

Comics have been a commonly banned medium since the 1920s, when any comics with nudity or sex were banned or discredited. If you are interested in seeing some examples, you can review case files of Banned and Challenged Comics that have been composed by The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF). CBLDF is a non-profit legal defense organization that helps protect the First Amendment rights of all those involved in the creation, distribution, and reading of comics.
