Anti-Racism and Racial Justice Resources

This guide is intended to provide general sources and research information about Anti-Racism, Racial Justice, and the Black Lives Matter movement.

Select Cal State LA Bibliography

The Academic and Social Value of Ethnic Studies review by Christine E. Sleeter and the National Education Association (NEA) states that "Ethnic studies scholarship by and about racial minority groups presents a different narrative that is shaped partially by histories of oppression in the U.S. as well as by the intellectual and cultural resources and traditions of those communities." During this momentous time, with a new Ethnic Studies College at Cal State LA, we want to highlight just a few of the many research articles and books written and speeches given by faculty in the Asian and Asian American Studies, Chicana(o) and Latina(o) Studies, and Pan-African Studies departments.

Are We Missing Something?

This list is by no means all-encompassing off the critical scholarship that arises from faculty in the Ethnic Studies College. If something is missing, misrepresented, or you have questions, you can email Kendall Faulkner at kfaulkn3@calstatela.edu or Tiffanie Ford-Baxter at tfordba@calstateale.edu.
